Description
A fun twist on classic chocolate chip cookies shaped like fries, offering a crispy exterior and chewy interior for a delightful dessert experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this mixture aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly dispersed.
- Scoop out portions of the dough and roll them into logs, then cut these logs into fry shapes, about 1/2 inch wide and 3 inches long.
- Place the fries on the prepared baking sheet with at least 2 inches of space between them.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, experiment with dipping sauces like melted chocolate or caramel, and consider creating ice cream sandwiches with the fries.
