Description

A fun twist on classic chocolate chip cookies shaped like fries, offering a crispy exterior and chewy interior for a delightful dessert experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this mixture aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly dispersed.
  7. Scoop out portions of the dough and roll them into logs, then cut these logs into fry shapes, about 1/2 inch wide and 3 inches long.
  8. Place the fries on the prepared baking sheet with at least 2 inches of space between them.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, experiment with dipping sauces like melted chocolate or caramel, and consider creating ice cream sandwiches with the fries.
