Description

These Chocolate Blossom Cookies are a perfect blend of soft, chewy cookie goodness topped with creamy Hershey’s kisses.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 150 g all-purpose flour
  • 50 g natural cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 115 g unsalted butter (softened)
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 30 g granulated sugar
  • 30 g sprinkles
  • 30 g powdered sugar
  • 24 Hershey’s kisses (unwrapped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy, about 3 minutes. Add the brown sugar and mix until fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, beating until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until just combined.
  6. Scoop the dough into your hands and roll into balls.
  7. Roll the balls in granulated sugar, sprinkles, or powdered sugar and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space in between.
  8. Bake for 7-8 minutes until puffy. Unwrap the Hershey’s kisses while baking.
  9. Press a Hershey’s kiss in the center of each cookie immediately after baking. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes if needed to prevent spreading during baking. Experiment with different toppings and flavors for variations.
