Description

Delightful cherry-flavored cookies coated in powdered sugar that bring joy to any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Additional powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour, salt, and chopped walnuts, mixing until well combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and shredded coconut.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden.
  8. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes before rolling them in powdered sugar while still warm.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
