Description

A delightful dessert combining sweet cherry pie filling with a buttery crumb topping featuring sliced almonds, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, powdered sugar, softened butter, and salt. Mix until you have a smooth dough.
  3. Press the dough into the bottom of a greased 9×9 inch baking pan.
  4. Spread the cherry pie filling over the crust, covering it completely.
  5. In another bowl, mix the remaining flour, oats, sugar, sliced almonds, and vanilla extract. Crumble this topping over the cherry filling.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
