Description
Caramel Apple Dump Cake is an easy, set-and-forget dessert made in a crockpot. Sweet apples, rich caramel, and a fluffy cake topping make it a family favorite for any occasion.
Ingredients
1 can of apple pie filling
1 cup of caramel sauce
1 box of yellow cake mix
1/2 cup of butter (melted)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
1. In a crockpot, layer the apple pie filling on the bottom.
2. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apple filling.
3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly on top of the caramel and apple layers.
4. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix evenly.
5. Sprinkle cinnamon and chopped nuts on top if desired.
6. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours or until the cake is set and edges are golden.
7. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Serve warm in bowls, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days and reheat before serving.
For extra flavor, add nutmeg or vanilla extract to the apple filling.
Try different cake mixes or add oats/crushed cookies for a crunchy topping.
Make a pumpkin spice version by using pumpkin pie filling and pumpkin spice.
