- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 2 Cups sugar
- 2 large eggs + 1 egg white
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ½ Cups unbleached flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 Cup Candy Corn
- 1 Cup unsalted butter (softened, for frosting)
- 2 Cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
- ¼ teaspoon salt (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually add in sugar, mixing well.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
- Gently fold in the candy corn.
- Pour the cookie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Once cooled, frost the bars evenly with the frosting.
- Sprinkle extra candy corn on top before cutting into squares or bars.
