Description

Delightful chocolate cupcakes with a luscious cream cheese filling, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg (for cream cheese filling)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  3. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together.
  4. In another bowl, whisk milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and a large egg until smooth.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then add the other large egg and mix until incorporated.
  7. Fill cupcake liners halfway with chocolate batter, then add a spoonful of cream cheese mixture on top.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the cream cheese filling.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool the cupcakes in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
