Description

An indulgent Irish Coffee Trifle combining rich coffee, Irish cream liqueur, and whipped cream into a visually stunning dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup Irish cream liqueur
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ladyfinger cookies or cake pieces
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew a cup of strong coffee and let it cool. Once cooled, mix in the Irish cream liqueur, allowing the flavors to blend.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until soft peaks form.
  3. In a trifle dish or individual cups, layer the coffee mixture at the bottom.
  4. Follow with a layer of ladyfinger cookies or cake pieces, and top that with a generous layer of whipped cream.
  5. Repeat the layering process until you’ve used up all your ingredients, finishing with a creamy layer on top.
  6. For the final touch, garnish your trifle with chocolate shavings or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
  7. Finally, refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

Make ahead for better flavor melding. Avoid freezing to maintain texture.
