Instructions
- Brew a cup of strong coffee and let it cool. Once cooled, mix in the Irish cream liqueur, allowing the flavors to blend.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until soft peaks form.
- In a trifle dish or individual cups, layer the coffee mixture at the bottom.
- Follow with a layer of ladyfinger cookies or cake pieces, and top that with a generous layer of whipped cream.
- Repeat the layering process until you’ve used up all your ingredients, finishing with a creamy layer on top.
- For the final touch, garnish your trifle with chocolate shavings or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
- Finally, refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
