Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk

  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy in a larger bowl.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition and stirring in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, starting and ending with the flour.
  6. Fold in the mixed berries gently.
  7. Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about two-thirds full.
  8. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let them cool completely before serving.

Notes

For an additional touch, consider garnishing with fresh berries or a drizzle of glaze.
