Instructions
- Combine warm milk and yeast in a small bowl; let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt; mix well.
- Add the frothy yeast mixture and eggs to the flour mixture; mix until combined.
- Incorporate the softened butter and knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.
- Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
- Once risen, fold in the pearl sugar.
- Preheat the waffle iron to medium-high; scoop dough into the iron and cook until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
