Description

Deliciously fudgy brownies made with ripe bananas and peanut butter for a healthier twist.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all natural creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ⅓ cup pure maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ⅔ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except for chocolate chips until the batter is thick.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until barely set in the middle.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or yogurt for an indulgent treat.
