- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Mix in the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- If desired, fold in chopped walnuts.
- Drop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet with enough space to spread.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack and prepare the cream cheese glaze by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies and enjoy!
