Ingredients

- 1 cup sugar (for caramel)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 cup of sugar to make caramel and pour it into a round baking dish.
- In a blender, combine 6 large eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the blended mixture over the caramel in the baking dish.
- Place the flan baking dish into a larger baking pan and fill it with hot water until halfway up the sides of the flan dish.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until set, checking with a knife.
- Let the flan cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
- To serve, run a knife around the edge, invert onto a plate, and enjoy!

Don’t rush the caramel process and make sure to check for doneness early.
