Description

These air fryer apple fries are a quick and tasty snack that are warm, crisp, and just sweet enough. Perfect for afternoon treats or as a simple dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith work great)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Peel (optional) and cut apples into fry-like sticks. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Set up coating stations: Bowl 1: Add flour. Bowl 2: Whisk egg and milk together. Bowl 3: Mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then coat well with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Lightly spray coated apple fries with nonstick spray. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
  5. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  6. Enjoy warm with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg or a dash of vanilla to the breadcrumb mix. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
