Description

A visually stunning dessert featuring layers of creamy vanilla pudding, fresh banana slices, and crunchy vanilla wafers, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • Fresh banana slices
  • Vanilla wafers

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla. Slowly add a little of the hot mixture to the eggs to temper them, then return the mixture to the saucepan. Cook until it thickens, then remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. In a trifle dish or a glass bowl, layer the pudding, fresh banana slices, and vanilla wafers. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used up, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 240 minutes (4 hours) before serving.
